Regarding the history of Munsibazar Union Parishad
Introduction: The Fundamental Democracy Ordinance of 1959 brought about a major change in the functioning of the autonomous bodies in Pakistan at that time. Earlier each Thana (now Upazila) was divided into several circles and its local heads were called 'Sarpanch'. As a result of the Basic Democracy Ordinance, several circles were formed into one Union Council and later these became known as Union Parishads. Munsibazar is a small union located in the northern part of Kamalganj upazila. Among the 9 unions of the upazila, this union is the smallest in terms of size and population. After the formation of Kamalganj municipality, the size of the union was further reduced as a few villages in the southern part of the union came under the municipality. The location of this union is with the North Parkaushar Union, Kamalganj Municipality in the South, Samshernagar Union in the East, Rahimpur Union in the West. Stretching in the northeast and southwest, this union has a total of 25 villages under 19 mauzas.
Munsibazar Union Parishad No. 3 located in the middle of 23 villages stands as a witness of the times.
